Ribbons

Ribbon weaving is based on techniques and ideas which are over 2000 years old. The first examples of ribbon are from ancient Egypt, seen on hieroglyphics more than 300 years old.

Ribbons have played an astonishing number of roles in our lives – ceremonial ribbons, tokens of love, medal ribbons, garment fastenings and decorations, symbols of achievement and status.

Ribbon weaving takes advantage of the fabulous range of colours and textures produced today to create a range of beautiful cushion covers and matching accessories.
